Softball takes a 3-1 roadie; other results from the holiday weekend, including 6-1 volleyball team.
 
Morgan Margeson allowed only one hit and struck out 11 as Mullen won on the road on Tuesday, 3-1 over The Academy in Westminster.

The nonleague victory was the second in a row for Mullen, now 7-4.

Margeson faced only 27 hitters and was in command the whole way.

Offensively, Bella Aragon, Ona Medina and Elizabeth Brady each had two hits for Mullen, one of Brady’s a double.

And on Saturday, the Mustangs outslugged Fairview 17-6 in six innings in Boulder.

Aragon scored four times in the nonleague victory, had three hits and swiped four bases. Brady had two doubles – and three runs batted in -- among her four hits and Morgan Stewart added three hits. Margeson, who shared the pitching duties with Medina, had four RBIs.

Volleyball

At the Glenwood  Springs Tournament over the past weekend, the Mustangs moved to 6-1 overall.

They’re already matched their victory total from the previous Season C.
