  • HACKathon

The Computer Science Honor Society is excited to host its Annual Hackathon on March 28th from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. This fun, hands-on event is designed especially for 3rd–5th grade students who are curious about technology, creativity, and building things on the internet.

During the hackathon, students will learn the basics of HTML and CSS, the languages used to create websites. Our student mentors will guide participants step-by-step as they design and build their own web pages—from choosing colors and layouts to adding text and images. No prior coding experience is required!

The goal is simple: learn something new, create something cool, and have fun doing it. Along the way, students will practice problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork while getting a glimpse into the exciting world of computer science.

Whether you love computers, enjoy creating things, or just want to try something new, this hackathon is the perfect place to start.
