Mullen High School’s Dr. Amanda Sherpe Named 2025 Colorado Classics Association Teacher of the Year

Mullen High School is proud to announce that Dr. Amanda Sherpe, Latin teacher and Chair of the World Languages Department, has been honored with the 2025 Teacher of the Year Award by the Colorado Classics Association (CCA). This prestigious recognition celebrates her exceptional contributions to classical education and her unwavering dedication to student success.
Since joining Mullen High School in Denver, Dr. Sherpe has cultivated a dynamic and engaging Latin program for students in levels 1 through 4. Her interactive teaching style fosters a strong sense of community in the classroom while inspiring a deep appreciation for the Latin language and culture. A passionate educator and scholar with a PhD from the University of Colorado Boulder, Dr. Sherpe is admired by students, families, and colleagues for her innovative curriculum, vibrant classroom environment, and supportive leadership.
