Bialecki heads East all-league

Pitt-bound senior is 1st team all-5A East League; 6 others also honored.
Elise Bialecki heads Mullen’s postseason awards for girls lacrosse.

The senior was at the front of seven Mustangs being named to 2021’s all-Class 5A East League.

Charlie Beck and Molly Gilbert were named to the East’s second team and J.J. Johnson, Claire Mochan, Zara Teger and Haley Vanek as honorable mention

Headed to play for the Pitt Panthers, Bialecki, a midfielder, scored 20 goals, second on the team, and recorded six assists, tied for tops on the team.

Beck, a junior middie, was third on the team with 15 goals and added five assists.

Gilbert, a senior attack who will play at Colorado Mesa, led the team with 23 scores and six helpers, and finished with 101 career goals.

Johnson, a sophomore middie (four goals); Mochan, a senior defender (one assist); Teger, a senior defender; and Vanek, a junior attack (seven goals, four assists) rounded out Mullen’s selections.

The Mustangs were 4-6 overall, 2-4 in the new league in the first-ever Season D.
