Spring '22: Swim with 'Stangs

By Neil H. Devlin, Mullen Sports Information Director
Boys swim and dive under new management and first in the spring for Mullen.
Boys swimming and diving will open spring competition for Mullen on Thursday, March 3.

The Mustangs will be operating under a third coach in three years, Beckie Mutz, who has been at nearby Colorado Academy.

Mutz began with about a couple of dozen hopefuls and the group has since been streamlined.

Leading the boys is a new experience, said Mutz, who also heads the CA girls, and added that “they’ve been very respectful and working hard.”

They will begin in the Centennial League in Greenwood Village against regular power Cherry Creek, first races at 5 p.m.

The rest of Mullen’s spring teams currently in preseason practice will begin competition next week.
