Mullen power in Class 4A girls tennis remains relevant.

The Mustangs, defending champions, advanced all seven lines to next week’s Colorado Tournament in Pueblo. It is the sixth consecutive time they will have full representation.

“They were very confident,” head coach Jera Sturgell said of her players. “They were great, they were amazing. It was probably their best of the season and having this right now is perfect going into the final tournament .You want to be at your best and they’re playing their best right now. It’s a big deal.”

Mullen outdistanced Dakota Ridge in the team chase and most of its came head-to-head – it faced the Eagles in six of the seven spots.

All told, Mullen won six championships.

Marin Smith was second at No. 2 singles.

Of Mullen’s returning champions, Crites and Leugers won at No. 3 doubles and Dailey-Hoyt won at No. 4 doubles.
