Alex Evans, Student-Athlete of the Week
Class: Senior.
Grade-point average: 3.2.
Favorite subject: Investments.
High-school sport: Soccer (defensive-center mid).
What I’ve done lately: Has taken over the overall points lead for the Mustangs – four goals, eight assists, 16 points, through seven matches.
Why I attend Mullen: Well, the first reason is I went to All Souls Middle School and it fed into here. We heard from a lot of friends about the school and that Mullen offered a good education with smaller classes and that it’s a Catholic school, which was a big factor.
The best thing about my sport: I like how popular it is around the world. I can go anywhere pretty much and pick up a ball and play with anybody. My Mom is from Costa Rica and it’s a big part for me and I’ve been playing my whole life.
Planned career: Somewhere in business, maybe down the line entrepreneurial or sales representative, closing out deals …
In my immediate future: College, but I’m not sure which one.
