Sage Hurley, Student-Athlete of the Week
Class: Senior.
Grade-point average: 3.85.
Favorite subject: Sports Medicine.
High-school sport: Baseball (middle infielder pitcher).
What I’ve done lately: In the early season, has two triples and a double, and made two relief appearances.
Why I attend Mullen: I would say I attend Mullen probably because of its reputation ad it’s pretty cool to represent the school and be proud to go there, and be a student-athlete.
The best thing about my sport: It’s a good way to get away from stuff in life, being a high-schooler and school work, and doing something I truly love.
Planned career: I’m not set on one yet, but have looked into sports management.
In my immediate future: I would say getting done with high school, finishing out strong with my grades and looking to make the playoffs with this team and go deep into the playoffs. It has been a bummer getting knocked out two years in a row. I’m trying to lead this team to a good run and win as many games as we can.
