Grace leads 'Stangs
Senior scores twice and adds an assist as Mullen shuts out Prospect Ridge Academy and stays undefeated.
In Broomfield, Mullen built a comfortable first-half lead before breezing past host Prospect Ridge Academy 4-0 on a very windy Thursday in nonleague.
The Mustangs, ranked No. 5 in Class 4A, moved to 4-0-1. Prospect Ridge is 2-1 and ranked sixth in 3A.
Ella Grace led the way for Mullen, which built a 3-0 halftime lead. The senior midfielder deposited two goals and added an assist.
Keelee Rakowski and Kendall Smith also scored goals.
Anna Johnson contributed a helper.
The Mustangs will begin the first of seven Centennial League matches on Tuesday, April 4, when they will host Overland of Aurora, 4:30 p.m.
