Girls lacrosse falls in the spring elements; boys volleyball swept.
In Lakewood, Mullen girls lacrosse dropped an 18-6 nonleague decision to host Columbine at Trailblazer Stadium.
Operating in the cold and snow of Colorado’s early spring -- four other scheduled events were postponed -- the Mustangs remained winless at 0-5.
Mullen trailed 10-5 at halftime.
Jordan Weber had two goals for the Mustangs. Jamison Johnson, Mary Jane Archibald and Dri Eckman added single scores.
Eckman, Weber and Stella Geffre had assists.
Next for Mullen is a road game, Thursday, April 6, against Rock Canyon at Halftime Help Stadium in Highlands Ranch.

Boys Volleyball
At Hutchison Fieldhouse, the Mustangs were on the short end of a home match against Grandview 25-14, 25-18, 25-8 in the Centennial League.
Mullen is 5-7 overall, 0-2 in league.
The Mustangs will resume action on Thursday, April 6, at Cherry Creek in Greenwood Village, 6:30 p.m., in league.
