Zooming into baseball
Coaches, staff get together through video amid quarantine.
It was needed.
Mullen’s first baseball chat via video finally occurred on Saturday. The Mustangs initially connected with their sophomores in the morning, followed by varsity.
“It was cool to see their faces, good to see the players and coaches (on Zoom),” Mustangs assistant coach Philip Stanford said.
The Mustangs will meet with junior-varsity and freshmen teams on Tuesday, Stanford said, adding the Mullen staff was eager to “check on (players’) well-being, how they’re doing under these extreme circumstances, how they are doing in classes … do they need anything? Counselors, college coaches workouts, workout plans … it was good."
