We hope this message finds you well and enjoying the summer! Please know that you and your families are in our hearts and in our prayers as the calendar turns from June to July.
During the week of July 6, 2020, the Gold and Blueprint for the 2020-2021 school year will be presented. In it you will find detailed plans for the reopening of Mullen High School to in person learning beginning in August of 2020. We are very proud of the work and reflection put into this plan and we are confident it will serve the school well as we continue to face the challenges the pandemic has put upon us all.
Since the conclusion of the academic year, members of our staff, teachers and administration have been developing the Gold and Blueprint for the 2020-2021 school year. Using the feedback provided us on the Parent Survey, meeting regularly in large groups and in subcommittees, considering the uniqueness that makes Mullen the school we know and love and prioritizing the safety and health of our community, the Reopening School Task Force has worked through the discussions, reflections and observations these past few weeks and the results are all but complete. We have drawn on our Core Principles as our guide, have focused on our identity as a college preparatory institution and have looked to develop a plan that supports our students in their faith journeys, their academic growth, their athletic pursuits and their extracurricular goals.
Please look for this document to come to you in early July.
We are excited. We are energized. We cannot wait to be back with your students!
