O'Blia, Howes top all-league

Two-time champion Dale O;Blia and head coach John Howes top 8 Mullen entries on all-Centennial League wrestling for 2021-22.
 
Dale O’Blia and coach John Howes head Mullen honors in the recently released all-Centennial League listings for wrestling.

Competing in the Class 5A-based league, O’Blia was first team at 106 pounds. He went on to win a second consecutive 3A 106 title with a 41-0 mark. He is 61-0 over two seasons.

The Mustangs’ Noah Linares, Kaleb Valdez-Lemos and Mark Troni also were first team.

Linares (132) and Valdez-Lemos (170-) each finished second at the 3A tournament. Troni was third at 160.

“The kids had a great season,” said Howes, who was named co-coach of the year.

The Mustangs’ Ami Hall (220) was named to the second team and Gilbert Antillon (113) and Adam Domenico 145) were listed among honorable mention.
