AURORA -- Mullen landed four players on the recently released Class 5A all-state team.

The Mustangs were topped by junior lineman Hayden Woodruff, who is beginning to rack up scholarship offers as well as additional interest.

Six-foot-4 and more than 300 pounds, Woodruff, primarily an offensive tackle, was a regular plow for the Mustangs running game.

Three others were named to the big-school, honorable-mention list.

Junior Ishmael Aceves, a linebacker, was second on the team in total tackles with 113.

Two-way senior back Michael Brouillette also was a serious threat as a returner, taking back multiple kicks for touchdowns.

And linebacker/safety Jaxon Heil, a senior, led Mullen in tackles with 115.
