As our history has illustrated for over 75 years, Mullen High School's commitment to providing our students with a Lasallian and Catholic faith-based, rigorous and college preparatory education, exemplary athletics and activities and a community based on the Five Core Principles of the Brothers of Christian Schools has not changed. Though our community has weathered many changes in the past few months while our country and the entire world has battled the pandemic and has engaged with significant questions of injustice and race, we know that the best place for our students is on our campus, together and united in our diversity. Our entire community is desperate to be back in person for the 2020-2021 school year, and our teachers and administration are working diligently to prepare for this. As our parents, you are our best partners in this work and we want to receive your direct feedback. Your responses are critical to help us better understand our parent community’s mindsets and realities, assess any unique needs some of our families may have and to inform our discernment. The plans we create for the fall will be informed by the data we collect from you.
Within the next few weeks, our leadership will share the plans, guidelines and policies we will follow as we reopen school in the fall. Obviously, we all must keep in mind that this situation is fluid and can change at any time based upon federal, state, county and city directives and guidelines but know that our leadership is preparing plans to address all the likely contingencies.
Additionally, Mullen’s leadership is dedicated to providing healthy lunch options for Mullen students. We conducted an audit on our past food service program and have agreed that we can do better to serve our students and our families. Therefore, we have engaged with a food management company to review all possible options in order to transform the existing dining program for students next year. You will see essential questions regarding food service at Mullen on the following survey. Your answers now and going forward will determine the best direction for food service on campus for this upcoming school year.
Thank you for your candor and support as we explore the best options for our school and parent community. Your feedback is critically important.
Please fill out the survey by Monday, June 15th - Login to MyMullen or check your email for the survey!
