Karr shoots 1-over 73 to lead Mullen at South Suburban G.C.' Hawes 2 shots back.
 
CENTENNIAL – Ethan Karr fired a 1-over-par 73 in leading Mullen to a fourth-place team finish in Centennial League Match No. 2 held Monday at South Suburban Golf Course.

The junior made the turn at even. He compiled three birdies, two on the back side.

Karr tied for eighth individually.

Two strokes back was senior Ben Hawes, who made 75 and tied for 13th. He went out in 39, but made three birdies to come home in 36.

Sophomore Ryan Brady and senior Brodie Reister each made 82 and senior John Yoder scored 90.

Mullen totaled 312 in a strong field. Arapahoe won with 274, a whopping 14-under, and Cherry Creek was next at 286, a 2-under score. Grandview made 295.

Mullen will resume its busy play prior to the beginning of the school year today (Aug. 17) with the Bishop Machebeuf Invitational to be held at Heather Ridge G.C. in Aurora, first tee shots at 8 a.m.
