Mullen High School FBLA Students Qualify for Nationals, Reflecting Academic Excellence and Ethical Leadership

by Patrick Motter, Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications
Mullen High School is proud to announce that five of our outstanding students have qualified to attend and compete at the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Leadership Conference this June in Anaheim, California. An additional nine students were named National Competitor Alternates, placing in the top 10 statewide—a remarkable achievement that underscores both their dedication and Mullen’s commitment to excellence in education.
These students exemplify the values of integrity, leadership, and service. Through the FBLA program, they’ve embraced opportunities to grow not only as scholars but as ethical leaders guided by Lasallian Catholic social teaching and a deep concern for the poor and social justice in business and beyond.

Among our honorees:
  • Ava Lynn Darche and Isabella McConnell earned Top 10 recognition as National Alternates in the Future Business Educator event.
  • Michael Fugate ranked in the Top 10 in Economics.
  • Magnus Spence, recognized for Business Communications, also helped lead our Parliamentary Procedure Team—alongside Atticus Wilbern, Trace Taylor, Ivy Bieker, and Lucas Canfield—to a 3rd place state finish and National Qualifier status.
In addition to individual accolades, Mullen was honored with the Largest Membership Increase Award in Colorado, demonstrating the growth of student interest in ethical business practices and leadership.
At Mullen, we believe that developing future leaders means more than teaching technical skills—it’s about forming compassionate, principled individuals who are prepared to make a meaningful impact in the world. Congratulations to our FBLA Mustangs for leading the way!
